Winter In Marbella

However, there is much to say about visiting Marbella in the winter months.
Some, in fact, prefer to do so simply because of the climate. Marbella’s winters vary and are often unpredictable. The Sierra Nevada (approx. a 2.5-hour drive away) is often metres deep in snow over winter, and often means Marbella can drop to under 10 degrees.
There are however winter days, where you can quite easily catch a tan on the beach in a swim suit / bikini. Temperatures range from below 10 degrees to over 20 degrees throughout the winter which is often more enjoyable for many.
Many winter activities in Marbella are simply impossible in the summer due to the temperatures which often rise to mid 30’s. Mountain hikes, excursions, golf days. A lot of Marbella and what it has to offer is hard for many when it's so hot. Young children and the elderly often suffer, not to mention the crowds and increase in population and prices.
Marbella simply is suitable for everyone depending on the time of year and the reason for visiting. It has a buzz about it, a sense of luxury, the option to try new things, eat new foods, visit other villages and towns only a stone’s throw away.
November to March is generally warm, quieter, calmer and cheaper. Hence the reason many British people, Scandinavians and Europeans visit the beautiful area, (often for months at a time), being almost the most southern point of Europe and only a few short hours to get to via plane.
